Sheri Cheng (she/her/hers) is a mental health counselor committed to supporting individuals’ well-being using a compassionate and holistic approach. She uses a strengths-based and trauma-informed lens to create a welcoming and safe therapeutic environment. Sheri earned her B.A. in Applied Psychology and Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College.
Sheri has years of experience working with youth and families in educational and therapeutic settings. She leads social skills groups for youth ages 5-14 at an outpatient practice where she developed clinical strengths in working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and Autism. Additionally, she has experience providing employment training for adults as they transition from involvement with the justice system and navigate substance use recovery. Sheri uses a diverse toolkit including relational-cultural, feminist, person-centered, and solution-focused theories. She also enjoys using a systemic and collaborative approach to support her clients best.
Beyond her professional life, Sheri finds joy in running, reading, and cooking.
