Kimberly Jones earned a Masters in Social Work from New York University, a Masters of International Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and Bachelors in Communication and Cultural from Howard University. As a Captain in the United States Air Force, Kimberly served as an Intelligence Analyst. She earned several decorations for her efforts leading counterterrorism operations in Iraq, West Africa and in support of NATO operations over Libya. Kimberly completed eight years of active duty service before she transitioned into the mental health field in support of individuals impacted by trauma and substance abuse. She holds state board certifications as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. She became involved in assisting employees through work-life struggles and crisis, including conducting therapy groups for first responders after the Las Vegas Mass Shooting, conducting diversity training throughout New England post-Charlottesville and educating employees on harassment and discrimination prevention policy. Kimberly utilizes evidence-based interventions including motivational interviewing, CBT and positive psychology. In her free time Kimberly can be found spending time with her son and developing mindfulness through yoga.
