An 8 Week Group Curriculum for Parents

Playful Parenting is an exciting new approach to raising children that will help you nurture close connections, solve behavior problems, reduce power struggles, ease tensions, and encourage confidence. Specific topics will include: Understanding strong emotions (our children’s and our own); Dramatic play, roughhousing, and fear-reducing games; becoming the parent you always wanted to be; managing mealtimes, bedtime, chores, and getting out the door; and more. Participants will benefit from the support and encouragement of other parents as well as from the information provided in the group.

About the facilitator:  Larry Cohen, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and national expert specializing in children’s play and play therapy. In addition to his private therapy practice, he is also a writer, speaker and consultant to public and independent schools, and a teacher of parenting classes and classes for daycare teachers.

WINTER COURSE:  Begins week of January 7^th, meets 8 Thursdays from 7-9 pm, (no class Feb 18^th due to school vacation).  Course is $400 per person for full course, documentation for HSAs/FSAs potential approval happily provided.
