Ashti Mistry, LICSW, uses a client-centered approach, a philosophy defining the client as the expert of their experiences and therapeutic treatment. Ashti graduated with her Masters of Social Work from Simmons School of Social Work and uses knowledge and tools gained from her studies, work experience and life experience to provide an environment for clients to process and create meaning in areas of life where they might feel different. Ashti draws from many clinical techniques including mindfulness, CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapies.
Ashti works with a diverse patient background and has an interest in working with clients who have common stressors including adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression, and trauma, grief & loss, adoption & foster care, and perinatal. Passionate about cross-cultural work as a clinician of color, Ashti emphasizes cultural humility in creating a transformative and healing place for clients by grounding in socio-cultural factors influencing clients’ reality.
In her free time, Ashti enjoys spending her time with her husband and two young children. Ashti also enjoys traveling and trips to the beach.
